The services provided by our Lactation Consultants are not funded by the government therefore we must charge for each appointment.

Follow-up Appointments: 60 to 90 minutes.
It is imperative that you arrive on time for your appointment. If you are late we will not extend your appointment as it creates a delay to the other patients who are scheduled after you.
Due to a lack of funding, effective January 1st 2014 we are longer able to offer a “pay-what-you-can” reduced rate nor can we waive any appointment fees. We are currently looking for funding to subsidize the appointment fees for those who are unable to pay the full amount and are hopeful that we will be able to re-offer these rates later on in 2014. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Fees must be paid in full at the time of booking.
If you are from Quebec, outside of Canada or do not have OHIP coverage, please call our office at 416-498-0002 to request your appointment first as additional fees will apply and you will be required to pay over the phone by credit card. Please do not submit your request online until you have spoken to our Clinic Administrators.
Please Note: . You will need a referral from a physician or midwife. Ideally there should be two separate requests one for the baby and one the mother. The baby can be referred by a physician or midwife, the mother only by a physician. We really appreciate getting a referral for both mother and baby, but if it is not possible to get a referral for both the mother and baby and only one referral is possible, we must have the referral for the baby. If you have not already obtained valid referrals, please do so prior to your appointment date and time. The referral note(s) should be faxed to our clinic at (416) 498-0012 prior to your appointment.

Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy: If you are unable to attend your appointment, we require you to contact us by phone or email no later than 48 hours (not including weekends) prior to the scheduled appointment date in order for us to provide a full refund of the fee paid. Fees will not be refunded for any cancellations made without 48 hours’ notice. Request to change appointment date or time must also be made no later than 48 hours (not including weekends) prior to the scheduled appointment in order for the fees to be applied to the new appointment date and time. If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, patients will be required to pay again for the rescheduled appointment.

Once you have been sent the email, please reply back with your confirmation. We suggest checking your spam/junk folder and adding our email address to your safe-senders list to ensure you receive our emails.
Referrals for Tongue Tie &/or Lip Tie Releases
Please note, we are a breastfeeding clinic, not a Tongue Tie/Lip Tie Release clinic. We only address Tongue /lip ties if they are interfering with breastfeeding. Even if your baby has been diagnosed with a tongue/lip tie by someone else, he/she will still need to be evaluated by our physicians to determine if a release is necessary. Being referred for a Tongue/lip tie release does not guarantee that it will be released in your first visit, or released at all.
Tongue Tie &/or Lip Tie Releases and Vitamin K
One cause of breastfeeding related issues can be a tongue and/or lip tie. While releasing such ties is a minor procedure, we do anticipate some bleeding. Vitamin K injection is one factor that can be important in the prevention of significant bleeding. Therefore, we advise all families to ensure that baby has received a Vitamin K injection either at birth or at least one day prior to any such procedure being performed at our clinic.
